ROMACT process to start in Sheffield, United Kingdom

Convinced that integration of Roma and other communities can only be successful if built in a sustainable and inclusive manner, Sheffield City Council identified ROMACT structured approach to community development as a good practice to be implemented in the city neighborhoods and requested support to initiate the process.

Following an introduction to ROMACT process with the Advisory Board of Sheffield ROMACT project and a short presentation of INSCHOOL project, 6 facilitators and a coordinator received a two days training on ROMACT methodology.

Each step and act was detailed and their experiences and needs integrated to provide them with necessary tools for the implementation of that inclusive and long term process.

A very first step, but not the least, towards a more inclusive Sheffield.
