Examples of good practice in Romania

The main purpose of this study is to document examples of good practice identified within the ROMACT Programme, in order to illustrate how local public authorities have benefited from support in their efforts to improve the living conditions of Roma communities.

The analysis of these examples is carried out from a structural perspective, emphasizing the solutions identified to counter the systemic obstacles that fuel the social exclusion of Roma. Among these, the following stand out: the perpetuation of prejudices, the deficit of administrative capacity, as well as the lack of collaboration between public institutions and the communities concerned.

Scopul principal al prezentului studiu constă în documentarea unor exemple de bună practică identificate în cadrul Programului ROMACT, pentru a ilustra modalitățile concrete prin care autoritățile publice locale au beneficiat de sprijin în demersurile lor de a ameliora condițiile de viață ale comunităților de romi.

Analiza acestor exemple este realizată dintr-o perspectivă structurală, accentuând soluțiile identificate pentru a contracara obstacolele sistemice care alimentează excluziunea socială a romilor. Dintre acestea se evidențiază: perpetuarea prejudecăților, deficitul de capacitate administrativă, precum și lipsa de colaborare între instituțiile publice și comunitățile vizate.
