Roman is located in north-eastern Romania, in Neamţ County, Romania.
Several Roma ethnic groups live in the community, namely: Caldari, Lingari and Ursari.
Roma population is mainly located in the "Strada Noua" area, "Mahala", "La Grajduri".

"Grajduri" and "Mahala" areas are located on the outskirts. Currently social housing, the buildings are actually former animal stables and were given to people without their legal status being social housing. Those stables are for animals.. There is no toilet nor running water in the area and it is hotbed of infection.
In the "Strada Noua" area, most of the houses are built without documents, illegally connected to utilities. The streets are asphalted.
